Rear seat / bed...?

I've only owned my Wrangler since mid-March of this year, so you could say I'm a "noob". I don't know if this has ever been brought up in the past, in this forum or another, but I was wondering if anyone made an aftermarket rear seat that can be folded back (as opposed to the forward stowage position) so that it can turn into bed. Or perhaps a mod to the existing seat would make this possible...? A while ago someone posted a thread regarding sleeping in their Jeep and this idea popped into my head. It seems like something so simple. This is something I would take full advantage of if it can be done. Maybe I'll have to take a look-see at my rear seat to see if this is possible. Thanks!

Not sure about the seat, but laying out a twin air mattress then inflating in the back works wonders.

I use a tent myself but there are bunches of threads out there on sleeping in the Jeep. I didn't dig into any of them but maybe one has something you're looking for.

In the TJ I was most comfortable sleeping in the front seat reclined. I tried to figure out the back but never was comfortable enough. Someone once said if you put the passenger seat all the way forward and removed the rear seat, you could put a board of plywood in to even it out a bit and then an air mattress over it. I never went that far.

This was my solution. Allows for total use of split seats. Lays perfectly flat for sleeping.

If Amp'd is ever available to order may I use these plans for camping in my JKU Rubicon? In my 1976 CJ-7, I had no back seat, so Daddy buildt me a tri-fold of (3) 4 inch cushions, the full width of the back of the Jeep that I used as a seat w/back then as a sleeping mat that extended to the tail gate for camping.
This looks great and like it could be stored in the JKU for a while also.
