Rear Seats recline mod for 2010 4D Sahara anyone?

Anyone ever attempted to tilt rear seats in JK sahara 4d. I red this can be done with some spacers? Looking for a kit or some drawings for a 10-15% recline.

G.

That mod does exist. I've seen the thread around here about a guy that was able to add some spacers to recline the back and incline the rear seat bottoms. Sorry I can't find that thread though.

Can anyone direct me to this thread? My back seat passengers are becoming unruly.

Awesome mod! Thank you for the link. Now when I throw the wife in the back seat she won't complain about how uncomfortable it is.

The back seat bolts are extremely hard to get off. I stopped by my local firestone when it did not look busy and offered the guy $10 to remove the seven bolts. He grabbed an air gun and 18mm socket and was done in less than a minute. I put the bolts back in with a breaker bar. Good luck.

This mod did not work for me. I have a 10' Sport with split fold down seats. The spacers only raised the leg portion of the seat. They did not recline the back portion of the seat. It might be because of the split fold down seats. But didnt work for me. Still searching for a solution. As all I hear is complaints from the back seat.

Can anyone confirm whether this works for 2010 Sahara JKU?

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that is all spacers really do - a "relative" recline compared to stock "level".

I used washers on the front and middle bolts. It worked just fine. Daughter was very happy. And yes, it did raise the front leg part of the seat AND tilted the back some. I only went 3/4" on the front due to the length of factory bolts. I think it was 5/8" on the middle. Previous post is correct about the bolts being a pain coming out. Hint: if you take the front ones out first, you can lift the seat up for easier access to middle ones. But an air ratchet would be a plus! Not sure why Jeep didn't correct this...it was very uncomfortable.
