Rear Swing Gate is striking my new bumpers Swing Arm Post....any suggestions

Morning All,

just mounted Body Armor's 63" JK-2393 rear bumper (with swing arm post) along with the Body Armor Roof Rack Base. Here's the issue, if I want to open the rear swing gate or tail gate all the way to the locking position, it strikes the swing arm post on the bumper...to the point where I've put a small dent in the tail gate (first dent on the new '12 2DR Rubi).

Any solutions...is there a way to modify the opening range of the back gate? or will I have to go so far as to have a machinist remove the swing arm post from the new bumper?

will take some pics later (when the sun comes up). The Body Armor Roof Rack is a solid beast, very happy with the rack! just need to find a solution for opening my rear tail gate door...

thanks

Hi,
Did you ever find a solution to this?
Does having their rear bumper otherwise make for a better rack mounting in the back?
thanks!
