Rear window strut keeps popping off

One of the struts that holds the rear window open on my hardtop keeps popping off of the ball joint attached to the window. I told the dealer to fix it or replace it but it looks like all they did was reconnect the old one. Easy fix, except that it tries to impale me every time I open the window.

Anyone else have this issue?

I didn't have that problem but replaced both of mine when one started to leak.
$16 each from Autozone. Quick and easy to change.

Thanks for the info. It's gotta go back to the dealer next week so I'll just add it back onto the fix it list.
