Recalibrate the 2012

I have tried to search on here and have called a Jeep dealer asking them if they could recalibrate the speedometer on my 2012 and he said they could not do it for the 35s. Then i called an aftermarket shop who said he had a chip in his 2010 to recalibrate his but they do not have that chip for the 2012 yet. Anybody else find a way to get it fixed? I wouldn't care if I didnt get a speeding ticket but its about 10mph off and it would be nice not to have the moving violation on my record anyway. I was running a whopping 73 in a 60 which i thought was a 65......bummer. Thanks for the help!!

Or the Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator.

True, but the Procal does much more and at a cheaper price.

Also of note: the Hypertech one is a bit easier to use since it uses an LCD screen and leads you step by step.

Are you sure these will work on his 2012?

Yup, I have a 2012.

And for valid reference, from Hypertech:
Speedometer Calibrator - Part #752501 (if you go to the hypertech page it lists it was well).

4 Wheel Parts lists is as compatible too. Even though their text doesn't say so, their 'vehicle chooser' does.

The speedo calibration will...just not the tuning part. The AEV will do everything, but doesn't have a tuning function.

No. Dealer can only reflash up to stock size.

I think some tire installation shops can do it. I know when I had my 35's mounted, the Matthews Tire guys were gonna do the speedo recalibration for me, but I already had my Procal and told em not to mess with it.

A lot of places won't do it, however, because of liability concerns.

I just wanted to give an update on how it went because I hate it when I get through reading a post and never get the result I ended up using the AEV and it worked great, the Jeep shifts when it's supposed to now and runs much easier because of it. As far as getting something to take care of court there was a guy here in Lynchburg that gets a reading of how far off the speedometer was and a notary signed it and the court accepted that and threw out my ticket. I'd say that was successful!
