Remotes on Keys

Anyone else have an issue with the remotes not unlocking the doors on the 2009 Sahara Unlimited (Yes, I lock the doors at work).
Should the better run out only after a few months?

Depending on how often you use it, the batteries may be low. I would take the remote into the dealer, and sometimes they can give you new batteries or check it under the warranty.

I had an issue with it, but never bothered to fix it because I had an aftermarket alarm that unlocks the doors and this works for me.

I’ve heard that it is an issue and there is a fix for it. Talk to the dealer. Battery should last for 2 years or more, unless you sit on the key and activate the button for long periods of time.

My original Nissan Frontier FOB battery is still going strong after 9+ years of daily use.
Never seen a more powerful FOB before as to distances it will work from..

yea, tons of threads in here on FOB issues and locks and alarms etc

Its under warranty; even the battery. See the dealer. Even batteries can be duds and inferior. And it could be something worse so I'd get it in.

remote lock

I have a 09 2dr rubicon, first they replaced one then after researching the TSB the dealer decided to order two new ones for me, been a month or so no problems, but most of my problems were in cold weather. Seen on a TSB the wireless control module (WCM) has issues with static in colder/dryer climates, this can also cause a non start issue. Contact your dealer

I had this issue on my 09. It was only with one of the keys. It would lock the doors, but then wouldn't do anything. It was hit and miss. They cleaned the contacts and it worked for a few months but then started acting up again, so they replaced it under warranty. And so far, so good. (Knock on wood).

I replaced the batteries, and everything seems to be working fine.
