Cool remove backseat?

Hey guys!

Newbie here. I've had my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport for 2 years and think that it is high time I start to really enjoy her!

I would like to totally remove the backseat so that I can let the 2 dogs have free reign, but there is a slight problem.

When I bought the Jeep (in 2010)the back seat zipper was broken, so the dealership replaced, but put the backseat in wrong. It will fold down, but will not swing up properly behind the front seats.

I would bring it back to the dealership, but I moved and I am unsure if another dealership will fix the error from the other one.

Is there any other way to remove the seat? Can I just remove bolts and take out myself?

BTW, I am a petite 5'4, 120lbs girl. but a strong one!

No welcome post?!?!?!
Can you make out how they installed it incorrectly? Maybe a picture of the rear hold-down clamp dealies. My only thought is they must have messed up the lever that releases the clamps.

Hinges should just let go when you release the bar in the back regardless of how they put it in.

if it won't fold up try removing the head rests and/or sliding the front seats forward a bit.

It can be akward for one person to remove and install, with two it's a snap.

I just leave mine out, the dog has claimed it as her garage couch.

x2 on making sure the rear head rests are down all the way, and push the front seats forward.

There's a zipper on the back seat?
