I would like to remove the side decals [wrangler & sport]. My jeep is a 2013 silver wrangler. What is the best way? Will I be left with a rectangle showing because of paint fade?
Heat gun or hair dryer, heat the decal and it should peel right off. Sometimes running fishing line under the decal and using that to peel up helps. Shouldn't have any paint fade issues yet but if there is any residue left on there, some goo gone will remove it.
I have a 2008 silver JKUR and I took my decals off a year ago and there was no noticeable fading. I highly doubt you will see any fading once you remove you decals.
Mine peeled right off, no heat necessary! just carefully work the corner up with a razor blade, grab it and peel off slowly.
