Like an idiot, i tried torquing it down with pliers and a towel, but i still totally chipped the paint...had to touch-up and just hand-tighten...

iv just about given up on mine. i bought mine in january of 2012 and was super happy with the new look(i dont like the "fishpole"). at the time i purchased the antenna, i only really listened to sat radio. now that my subscription is mostly done, iv started to get back to listening to FM. i am in the tri-state region and my FM signal is pretty bad.

i will be going back to stock antenna. my only problem is iv installed windshield lights and now i have to deal with the stocker hitting my lights...o well, live and learn. you get what you pay for...

yes, shipping to canada on our website is $4.99 and includes tracking to the border. USPS has a new shipping class to Canada that is faster than the old shipping class and is not expensive. Shipping to the rest of the world is $9.99 on our website. As always, US shipping is free.

Need Help With Antenna Replacement

I just bought a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport and I am doing a few appearance mods.

Okay, should be really simple to unscrew a factory antenna and replace it with something more aesthetically pleasing, unless of course it is my Jeep.

I cannot get the antenna to budge. I am serious, it refuses to move. Ihave an arsenal of tools and I swear I cannot get this thing to move.

Is it possible i have some other type of stock antenna that just does not unscrew.

Maybe I need to replace the mount/assembly?

Just asking because this is extremely frustrating. I have done tons of mods on my Trans Am and never ran into anything like this. Granyed I am learning my way around this Jeep.

Advice/Suggestions???? Thanks.

Use a little wrench and a snipe (extension). I like my antenna I got a 13 inch. It looks better and doesn't hit branches. Works fine for me but I don't like or use regular radio so don't really care. I use satellite or my iPod.

I just did the hidden antenna in the upper corner plastic top of windshield passenger side. Seems ok reception wise. Cost me $25 for the antenna and adapter and another $30 for the trail rated badge. I ordered the badge to cover the hole in fender and match the drivers side. Didn't cut anything so could always reverse it easily if I find the reception to be too poor. Looks a lot better without the mast. I almost poked myself in the eye with one of those short antennas years ago. Then somebody tried to see how flexible it was and took a swipe at it and it broke off...........

K, well I will try channel lock pliars and see if that makes a difference. Still will not budge. I think someone put Locktite on this and I cannot get it off. May have to remove the entire antenna and install a new one. Hope I do not have same issue with gas cap cover install today.

I just ordered the off road antenna because my stock antenna looks ugly being unpainted metal, it whips around a lot and has gotten bent a couple times going through the car wash over the winter. If I lose a little reception no big deal cause I only listen to Sirius anyways.

Finally...finally finally...so this member tjjeepman2002 helped me with the install and it looks great.

I had to use 2 wrenches. Finally got that ugly stock antenna off.

Perfect match for all the other appearance mods I just did. I just got this installed in middle of a huge storm. Soaking wet, but was so worth it...LOLZ

Good to hear... I'll buy one. My stocker likes to clip branches and my signals are so strong here, I get overload/interference (if I'm correct ). Hoping a shorter one will give me better results (can't be any worse).

I just ordered a 14" black billet antenna from Antenna X. I'm sure it will look better and perform as advertised.

Because you announced cheap shipping to Canada. I'm sure you'll sell a bunch more, tons of Jeepers here in Canada.
