What antenna is that?

There's one I'll never put on mine. Too dainty looking. You should have gone with the 13" Euro style. Looks much better, tougher!

Sometimes its good to roll up your sleeves, get a little dirty and do the work on your own. Much more satisfying than having the dealer install your antenna for you.

Finally got around to installing my 13" Antennax Offroad antenna today. Looks great and fit with no problems. I will see how reception is over the next few days but rarely listen to AM/FM cause I listen to Sirius instead. My original antenna got bent up in the car wash over the winter. This antenna definitely looks way better!

Tested mine out today - no reception loss I can detect so far. Definitely an improvement!

I used this one on my 2010 Dodge Truck.... Worked fine, but honestly, I use Sirius much more than FM...... Looks much better than the giant silver whip from the factory....

Just ordered another one for my MOAB...

Went to lowes and got some 1/4 inch drip tubing, cut the antenna to the length I wanted it, slip the drip tubing over and popped on a vacuum cap

My reception actually improved with the Antenna X 14" billet antenna. Before, I had lots of interference... it's gone. I park in a 6 story parking garage and now my FM is clear! All fuzz before in the garage.

Definitely recommend this antenna. Don't think anyone needs a stock 35" antenna unless they are 50+ miles from FM transmitters. The stubby's look better and perform well. Went on in a few seconds... Every person's area is different, but I think these will work well for most. The $21 was well worth it to me. My friend saw mine and now wants one for his Dodge Ram.

Anyone have recommendations to get the stock antenna off?? Mine must have been torqued down or something. I have nothing that can get enough grip to unscrew it.

I wrapped a shop towel around it (to protect my paint from the wrench) and unscrewed it with a wrench. There really isn't any threads for the wrench to hold on to, you need to grip the wrench very hard. I've heard of people having trouble, just need to really make sure the wrench is tight on it. Think there is loctite or something on it from the factory. Mine came off easy though.

I may have to get a smaller wrench. Can't believe something so simple is such a PIA!!

Got it!! Need to see how the reception is. AM stations are definitely affected in my parking garage. FM doesn't seem to be affected. I will test out around Dallas tomorrow.

My AM was the same. I live near a large factory and a hospital, my AM reception has interference (humm) in my garage. After I get clear of this area it's fine.

I will be moving from this apt to one with my own attached garage in two weeks so I'm not worried if around town works.

Super!! I believe AM needs to have a taller antenna for reception, but who listens to AM anymore--just for sports and talk radio

I just cut my stock one. No issues and it was free...with the exception of me farting around in the garage for a bit.

Received my antenna x today, went to install it and the adapter wasn't threading on easily, so I stopped and read this thread. It looks like others have had difficulty, but just tightened it down more , so went back and cranked down on the antenna, was has tight as I was going to get it. I had the gap others have posted about, didn't like the idea of the amount of force used and figured I never get it off if I left it on. So pulled it off, looks like the threads are screwed up on the jeep, but the stock antenna screwed back in. I think the adapter was a little off, I recommend anyone that has difficulty screwing on an antenna x, STOP, it's not worth screwing up your Jeep.
