Replacement Fuses?

Hey all,

New'ish jeeper here and I'm wondering, when you find out that a fuse has blown, where do you purchase new ones to make the swap?

Essentially, the dash outlet no longer provides power to anything that I plug in, so I'd like to swap out the fuse, but I have no idea where to look for a new one.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Your manual lists all the fuses and what they're for. I've had my outlet fuse blow a few times. Can't recall the fuse number, found it in the manual.

As for replacements, any auto parts store will have them.

With any blown fuse, as well as replacing it you also have to ask why it blew. Something caused that circuit to overload in order for the fuse to blow, so unless you just want to keep changing fuses you should also make sure that the wiring isn't shorting out somewhere. Did you do something that might have caused an overload e.g. plugging something in that clearly wasn't designed to be plugged into a 12V DC outlet, get it wet etc?

Yeah,

I may have plugged an over-powered device into my a/c outlet through an inverter. Rookie mistake.

Thanks for the guidance. I guess I assumed that places like auto zone wouldn't carry fuses off-hand.

Again, much appreciated!

Suggestion, just buy an assorted pack and throw them in the tool box. Never know when you'll need one.
