If the missing sensor was on the road it would cause the warning light to come on. These can things can be fragile. Even window tint can affect them as stated by the above.
The dealer broke one adding air to a tire in my wife's Liberty. They tried to charge me for it. When I asked why he was adding air, I was told it was part of the oil change service. I asked what PSI he set it to. They told me that all the tires were low and he inflated them to 35.
That's when I blasted them. I had just rotated the tires and set them all to 33 PSI, which is what is on the door sticker. Needless to say, I didn't have to pay for the new module.
