Rescue Green Wranglers.

When did Jeep stop making the rescue green for the wranglers? I've decided that's the color I want for my unlimited wrangler. I like the fact that the 2012's have more HP and torque and better fuel economy but the colors suck. Anyone recall the years they offered the RG color?

2010 was the last year. It was available in all trim levels the previous year, but was brought back in 2010 for the Mountain only.

Personally I would not sacrifice the new engine in a 12 just for colors sake, there are a few decent colors on the 12s and they introduce new colors as time goes on.

Not exactly OT, but I'm really glad I was able to get my 2012 in a 2011 color.
Nat. Green Pearl looked so damn good sitting under that tree in the storage lot that we knew that was it.

There were only two or three others in my color. The rest were also 2011 color hold-overs like Sahara Tan, and that deep ruby red color. The colors like Cosmo Blue were only just beginning to show up in August when I went to buy mine.

The colors being kind of all over the place seems to be part of the Jeep experience since it all started. It can be frustrating, but it's also interesting and fun too.

My two cents.

I agree with strider ,,, especially the key word "fun". I seem to always like all the colors.

Do they ever reinstate old colors that turned out to be so popular? Or just come up with variations?

Jeeps color selection is so weird. It's almost like hey that color was popular this year... Lets get rid of it!
When I was looking at ordering one I wanted burnt orange, rescue green, or detonator yellow... Apparently I pick bad colors

Well that's dumb. What am I supposed to do with those cars with jeep badges?

My theory is disproven, I was thinking maybe the supplier for that paint wasn't making it or went out of business. But if they are putting it on other models... Then they have the paint

Years ago I ran across a particularly perplexing color on a couple Wranglers in Central Oregon. I've never seen them anywhere else, they appeared to be a factory paint job.

These were, as close as I can describe them, a "rescue bronze". Anyone else see that color?

Jeep Colors

I don't know what knucklehead at Jeep decides on the colors, or which ones get the axe, but they need to get some consistency. Rescue Green (or an OD green variant), Black, White, and Saharah Tan should be the standard colors for Jeep. THEN have other trendy colors like the new Gecko, Crush, or Dozer in addition to the standards. They end up disappointing a lot of customers.

I think for at least some time in 2010, it was offered on all trim levels too. Didn't know about 2009 having it though. I knew it was offered in 2007.

I love that color too! I was kind of worried that I would feel like I settled for deep cherry (I really wanted rescue green or mango tango) but now that I have it I am in love with it. I think once you get it you will love it no matter what!

i typically buy all of my vehicles in black, but i LOVE the sahara tan and rescue green, but as i will most likely be getting a 2012, wont be able to get either of those colors, guess i will have to hope to have the money to repaint it one day.

Everyone here that wants a 2012/2013 Wrangler in rescue green needs to email Jeep and ask them for it. If they don't hear from you nothing will change!

08 Rescue Green owner! Special ordered this color...either you love it or you hate it! Also, RG was only available in 07,08 & 10 model wranglers.

Rescue Green Wrangler in it's natural habitat.

The color Gecko that's coming out looks like a slightly greener Rescue Green... Might be up your alley
