Mine is wider, covers most of the radiator from side to side, but slightly shorter (top to bottom) than the one in your picture. But in any case I think the cooling area is probably about the same.

AND, if you're in 4hi--immediately switch to 4lo and the auto temp will immediately drop, up to 30 °

Oh I just turned mine off completely. I love driving without it.

I have a 2011 unlimited rubicon with 8,000 miles. We were two hours from home at a baseball tournament it left us stranded. Temp outside was 92 degrees after coming back between games we parked and left it running for less than five minutes and the e fine shut down showing hot oil. Engine never would attempt to turn over. Even after two hours. I did disconnect the battery trying to trick the computer. Ended up calling a wrecker and catching a ride home. It is now at the dealer and we will see what will happen. Jeep is totally stock and was not overworked. I love the jeep but if it can't stand up to city driving what's it going to do when I take it to Colorado in august and put bigger wheels and tires on?

Guys I would have put one on before mine got hot if I would have known. I plan on driving this for awhile. But I don't think it damaged anything.

I just ordered a B&M cooler from summit. about $60 shipped. Mine never overheated but I could smell the hot tranny fluid when i used 4hi, so I figured why take chances. Rather not be stuck in the wood of west colorado.

This doesn't sound like a hot engine oil problem caused by an overheated transmission, since it appears you were not even in 4-W mode. Let us know what the dealer tells you.

If you're bone-stock, let Jeep install a bigger trans cooler under warranty. Others have done it.
If you have bigger wheels/tires/gears/etc, they'll fight it.

The bigger trans cooler will then be included in your warranty.

Just to be clear, the "hot oil" message does not refer to your engine oil. It refers to your transmission "oil" (fluid).
