There seems to be a lot of false hits on Autotrader and Cars.com. I too want Sahara Tan. I can't find any '12 Unlimiteds with auto and a hard top. I have a '10 and wanted the new Pentastar engine, but now I am holding out hope the color will return with a diesel option!

I wrote Jeep and asked them to bring back Sahara Tan, so we'll see I guess. I will keep my fingers crossed with you!

Update: Well the guy picked up my Harley today so I'm officially without my truck and bike. I've decided to wait and order a 2013 in June instead of settling on colors and options. Looking forward to a Rubi. I hope it's worth the sacrifices. I've given up every single hobby and money hole I have in order to afford this.

Driving my daughters '95 VW Cabrio (she just got her written permit) until it arrives. At least it's a convertible, makes waiting for the Jeep a bit easier.

I'm planning to do some reviews of upgrades and such on YouTube in case anyone cares. I've found detailed reviews and videos on various bumpers, racks and such to be very valuable so I hope to give something back. I'll try to educated myself as much as possible until then.

I was really into the idea of the tan until I saw it on the lot.

As it is the wife and I fell in love with the Natural Green when we saw it.
It's very close to a beloved emerald green '91 Mustang she bought when we were first dating.
I'm glad we got it while we could. It's another done color.

2 tone mustang?

Love some of the fox body 2 tone colors, like the bright blue / gray lower

Would love to see a real green come back for 2013. Being prior service I have a liking to anything that I can make look like a military vehicle. Looking forward to buying some neoprene seat covers and G.E.A.R.

Then missed another in VA by two days. So I went to look for winter chill and my preferred options. Found a few that were close and have one on the hook still but with it being so close to the 2013 order date I may just tough it out.

I've sold my truck and Harley in preparation of getting a jeep so it may be a LOOOONG summer for me while I wait out the deadlines.

Now I'm thinking that without the truck and harley payments, upkeep, gas and insurance I can sock away enough money to afford an Unlimited Rubi with all the options I want and just be done with the searching and settling. My only risk is that they will only offer the basic colors next year. And of course there is the waiting.

From what I can gather:
  • Last day to order a 2012 is either 5/2/12 or 4/27/12 depending on the source.
  • 2013 prices will climb about $700 across the board. Options?
  • Orders open for 2013 on 6/6/12
  • Production for 2013 starts 7/23/12
  • Earliest pickup date for 2013 is 9/15/12
btw: the responses from wranglerforum.com are far and away better than the other two jeep/jk forums out there.

btw2: it's also been painfully obvious after dealing with several dealers in my state that salesmen are ill informed about their own products. They often contact me saying things like "we can order Winter Chill" or "if you are towing you want the standard 3.21 axle ratio". It's really crazy. Had one Sales Manager tell me it's been great working with me because they've learned so much about their product, lol.
So we should see info on what will be available for 2013 end of this month or early May?

Not sure. It's not clear to me what information is released and when. I read a few posts that lead me to think that we may see a list of colors but not photos of the colors on an actual Jeep. So if the color is "Slate Blue or Dune" you just order it and hope they don't make a mess of it. Seems a bit risky.

that deep water blue? I don't see very many of em, but I always assumed it was just unpopular I actually told the dealer I didn't care what color it was as long as he got me a right hander... guess I'm lucky

^^^ Well there you go! If you have your heart set on tan, then just bite the bullet and make a trip to get it! I've done that in the past and made a mini vacation out of it. Go pick up the vehicle and enjoy driving it home, sightseeing along the way.
