Obviously they are too bright for use with headlights, even in fog conditions, yea??

I do like them, the look and the light output in such a small package, but don't know if I'd have a use for them unless they can be used as fog lights....

Thanks!
For me, going through fields and country roads, especially during deer season

rigids are also used for killing vampires and blinding zombies so you can shank them with a knife and not waste ammo.

I couldn't agree more! I just added two more on brackets in front of the grill. This time with a flood light pattern.

Any ideas?
Check the switch. There are 3 wires on it...power, ground, and trigger. If the trigger slipped off, the switch will still light up but the lights won't get power.

I wish Rigid made a model that is 6" round, but D2 guts. I love my D2s, but prefer the "Jeep" look on the bumper of round lights. Guess I can't have it both ways.

Replace the fuse. Sometimes the fuse may look good, but it is still dead. The odds of BOTH of your duallys crapping out are probably astronomical. It's something else. Maybe the switch, maybe the relay, etc.

I have them on their own switch. You can tap into your highbeams as the trigger.

My buddy mounted his light switch in one of the holes in the A-Pillar, looks great. I will do the same when I install mine.

Try these! They are astronomically bright! I use them for spots on my rig to load at night.

Trust me you won't be disappointed!

There's a swedish guy on the forum that has the D2's and the whole bunch of video's on youtube showing the difference between low beam, high beam and the D2 in a forrest during the night. Really convincing stuff! He has put the swith in a factory hole in the A-pillar as well btw. Looks great. Can remember his name though....

Hm nice. Anyone besides you experience with these? And what would be the difference between the 24V and the 12V?

I used to have KC's on my front end, now I'm running Dually D2's Driving Beam and a Rigid 4" Spot Lightbar. More light than I need.

I like the look of these lights but dissapointed they are using leds that have been around for years, there are much brighter ones available. So I'm working on securing some similar lights using the new XM L2 leds in a 3x2 pattern like the D2s. 6000 lumens verses D2s at 2600 or something like that. Should be interesting. May be fabbung my own brackets too.

I posted this in a thread last month...links to several large, round LED lights:

There was a shootout article recently in Overland Journal, dealt with all sorts of different LEDs, how they work, how to determine what you need. All rigorously tested...

Some brands of the larger, round versions (*WARNING* some of these are expensive):

KC Hilites LZR 4-inch Round LED: Lights « Lzr Led « Lzr 4 Rnd Driving Black « KC HiLiTES: Auxiliary Lighting, Off Road Lights, HID Off Road Lights, Fog Lights, LED Light Bars, Driving Lights, Light Bars, Wiring Accessories, Flashlights, Torches
