RIGID Replacement bracket

Anyone use this?

Jeep JK Fog Light Replacement Kit

I have been without fog lights about a year now and upgraded my headlight bulbs and they are great unless the road is wet then visibility is zero cant even see lines in the road. So I want an upgraded fog light, I searched here and read several options, thinking maybe an amber color would be best for reduced glare but still light up the road. considering the Black Box Logistics Driving Light in Flood pattern with amber covers.

Edit: anyone know what wattage the stock fog light is? I want to run if possible a set of these on stock fog light switch.

I have them but have yet to put them in... I am trying to get the balls to run wires for power, relays, etc to make the LEDs work correctly off the stock fog switch. Not much of an electric guy and don't want my Jeep to burn to the ground!

I hear you.. I already have relays and everything in place for fog light I have 4 aux lights on my bumper I don't use, going to pull them off. I am looking at Trucklight or JW Speaker fogs. Just not sure yet.

Also what I have found is the stock lights are 45watts and the two D2's pull a lot less wattage so IF it proves to be true a relay is not needed. Going to continue research to make sure it is right then try to buy connector to make the D2's plug and play I am not a fan of cutting and adding.

9145 Halogen Fog Light Bulb, White

Mfr #: 9145/BP
  • Bulb Type: 9145
  • White Color/Finish
  • Location: Front
  • Product Fit: Direct fit
  • Warranty: GE Lighting limited warranty
  • Wattage: 45 watts

I believe the wattage of the stock fog light is 23 watts.

Don't want to start an "illegal versus legal" debate, but from what I understand, using the Rigid (or similar) type of light is for "off road use only". The only reason I mention this is because you said "not being able to see the lines on the road".

I don't think the BBL lights, in those housings/adapters will allow you to run an amber color.

I was going to try to run these bulbs as my fogs to see how they'd work out. They get mixed reviews, but at that price point, I think it may be worth a shot.

You get a flicker with the lights off and the ignition on and no relay. At least that is what I have read on here numerous times.

For the record.. The brackets will not work with Black Box Logistics lights, the RIGID and Black Box have a different mounting pattern.
