RIPP Supercharger & Snorkel Testing Dyno Video

Test 1 of 2 Supercharger and Snorkel. This test shows the HP and Trq lost when running a snorkel system on our RIPP supercharger for Jeep Wrangler JK's. There is over a 30 rear wheel HP loss and 30lbs of torque.

In this test - we removed the Snorkel's external cover (Provided with the RIPP - AEV Snorkel installation kit) and see a slight gain in HP, but not flow. We then disconnect the Snorkel all together and run it open to show the power gains all in one video take so there's no games here.

Is what your saying the snorkel will kill the hp on the jeep regardless of it being supercharged? I know alot of people claim to get more power and mpg with there snorkel. I personally didn't notice any diffrence When I installed mine.

I noticed no difference other than the increase in thumbs up's from passerbys I would imagine at sea level it isn't a restriction like it would be trying to provide the turbo's airflow needs with a giant plastic pipe in the way. With 7-10 pounds (or whatever you are running) things like that become "restrictions quickly.

Wow I miss my paxton now lol

After this weekends ride i went on I'll take my AEV with pre filter anyday. We had 6 jk's in the sand and mud and it was dusty as can be. I had a bunch of sand collected at the base of the pre cleaner and my air filter was cleaner than the inside of my jeep. I hosed my whole interior out today in an effort to get it clean. I have been following the RIPP supercharger idea for about 6 months but I think I'm gonna get this idea out of my head for good. No offense to them of cousre as I would love the added power, I just don't feel this mod is for me and how I roll.
