I have seen the discussions on the 1.5" RK lifts giving 2dr JKs around 2.5" of lift. Has anyone with a 4dr run one of the RK 1.5" kits or installed the 1.5" springs? I am just wondering how much lift a 4dr would get from it.
I have no plans of adding any armor, bumpers, or a winch. My Jeep is primarily used to run fire trails, go mudding on occasion, and to get to my fishing spots up at my cabin. I want to get bigger tires to get through the snow here in Michigan as my town is over 50% dirt roads and they can drift shut fairly quickly, and for when I am up at my cabin and we get dumped on.
I was going to go RK 2.5" but upon researching people are getting 3-4" of lift and I do not want that. I like the low COG look and plan on adding BushWacker flatties and 35s or possibly 37s. I am aware of the other things I will need like tire carrier, axle reinforcement, gears, and a Procal or similar for speedo and tranny recalibrations.
If anyone has any pics of a 4dr with one of the kits or springs please post.
I was wanting to see the same thing and even PM'd a few online dealers for info on the height as well. Looking back, I guess I should have just called RK and asked?
After not seeing much and me being the patient person I am (hahaha), I went with the Rancho 2" sport kit with the 9000's.
Don't have it installed yet, but I'm super excited!! The rebate was a nice bonus as well.
From my research I don't think too many are running these on a JKU right now. I hope you get a set and post some pics. Good luck!!
I sent an email to the support guys at RK and waiting a reply back. If/Once I get one I will let everyone know. Varnerme DEFINITELY post us some pics and if you can remember, take some measurements before and after so we know how much height they add.
Seeing those pics makes me want to send my 2" sport kit back since I haven't installed and go with these. Wish I would have seen these pics last week.... I think it is the perfect, not over the top look!!
If you got the rancho w/ 9000's I would keep it if the shocks are the correct size. It will cost you just as much to buy good shocks.
Just sell the springs and the leveling pucks out of the kit and use the money towards the rk 1.5 kit.
