Road trip!

Who's taken their jeep on a long road trip? How are they? Anything you suggest bringing with? In heading out to Tennessee from north jersey on Wednesday for the country music festival.

I live in Idaho. Got my 2013 Jeep on the last day in Feb. Two weeks later drove it to Yuma, AZ and back and it was great and drove smooth. Last week I went to Seattle and back. Again, very nice drive. I bought a small pillow both times, but never used it.

OlllllllO Another Day in Paradise with my Gecko!

I've done about a 4 hour drive through mountain passes and windy plains. Handles great on the road but doesn't handle winds

Driven my 2012 from Ga, to NY. NY to Tn. Tn to Wa, and from here I'll be headed to Al. Wasnt uncomfortable once. Tired, you bet your arse, but a comfy ride all the same. If you dont mind sucking down some gas then I dont see a problem taking it for those long trips

I take road trips frequently and I love taking my JKU. On my last one I averaged 50,000 miles a year and it wasn't grocery getting and kid delivering that brought me there.

I travel between my place in NM to Chicago around 3 times a year, maybe more. 18 hours straight through, but I mostly break it up somewhere in Missouri. The times I do a 18 hour run, I'm happier in my JKU than I was in my F-250.

Do the road trip and enjoy your Jeep.

I drove 8000 miles from Chicago to LA and back, westbound to the north through S. Dakota and Montana, down to Yellowstone and over to California, then back thru Utah and Colorado.

What you bring depends on what you plan to do and how you plan to stay along the way. If you are going off-road or camping, you need some basic equipment. if it's just highway driving , that's simpler

I think the most welcome piece of equipment on my trip was the Satellite radio.
