Guys,

Has anyone experienced shipping delays with RK suspensions?

I placed and order exactly a month ago and I have yet not received my RK 3.5 Mid arm X factor suspension lift.

At this point I'm seriously thinking about canceling my order and just spend a couple hundred bucks and go with Metalcloack.

I'm so frustrated and disappointed since I had Jeep vacations planned and can't even properly plan rescheduling since RK does not have a shipping delivery yet.

You sure its RK and not the dealer?

I ordered mine through 4wp on a saturday and it was there in like 6 or so days

I ordered 1.5 springs from Northridge. Took about 2 weeks to get them a few weeks ago.

Im on week 3 for a set of 1.5 coils... They are being drop shipped direct from rock krawler. Needless to say, this is a re occurring issue. There are a lot of threads on all the jeep forums about how slow RK shipping is.

When I purchased my coils and track bar, I was promised they would ship in 10 days, now the dealer is telling me first week of august.

Im tempted to cancel my order as well... Its frustrating.

What are they doing? Manufacturing the parts as they sell em? I just dont get why a company as popular as rock krawler cant keep some inventory in stock.

Not a big deal I guess, but its annoying when an estimated ship date keeps getting pushed back, a month beyond the original estimate.

Then that should be stated when you order something from them. "oh by the way Mr Customer, we will need to manufacture your parts so expect a month+ wait on your order"

I dont consider coil springs on the same level as a complete vehicle when it comes to having some inventory. Besides, automakers produce cars on estimated demand. NOT only to fulfill current orders. Lol

Some times that can be an indication of money issues. Parts manufacturers won't ship parts until they are paid. Not saying that is the reason for not having stock on hand but makes you wonder.

I ordered my 3.5 lift from MetalCloak on 7/6. It arrived at my freight forwarder on 7/15. It's on island and hopefully will clear customs today. On another note I know a lot of us put a lot of work into choosing the right lift kit that works for us. If you have done the same I think a couple of weeks extra waiting for parts is not a bad deal. Even if I had needed to wait 6-8 weeks I still would have gone w MetalCloak because that's what I felt would work for me.

Guys We appreciate everyone as a customer and are proud you chose RK!

We have been dealing with some real growing pains again this year. Much to our surprise and to no apparent reason our sales are up 100% this year. That is crazy. We are very grateful and trying to staff up and meet demand or at least get ahead.

However, this kind of growth effects our suppliers and forecasting greatly so they are running out of parts as well and continue to ramp up to meet our demand so there is a cascading effect.

Some dealers and wholesalers have product in stock so you can receive the product faster from them for sure as we are constantly backfilling their stock as well.

The big hang up is the balls for the lower control arm joints which will be expedited to us Monday. We used over 150k of them already this year for that joint position alone. We are expecting them next week and then we will be cranking everything out. All other components are pre packed already and they will do the best they can to fulfill orders.

Again, we apologize for the delay, we are just doing our best to turn them around as soon as possible.

It is so crazy, that we have to put an addition onto our new building that we just moved into last year. Again, we are very grateful and doing the best we can.

RK

Not a bad problem to have. BTW, I love your 1.5" coils.

No sir, not at all. It is just a hurdle we have got to over come.... It is part of business. Things could be worse. We would rather have someone ask and get the truth rather than have people guess and guess wrong. LOL.

It is just weird because we have not released any new product or anything this year to fuel this fire.

Again, thanks for choosing RK and welcome to the RK Family...

For suspension companies, for which there exists comeptition, it's a great way to lose customers. So not business savvy at all. You can save money on inventory all you want, but if you lose customers, you're going to go out of business, and then you'll never have to worry about inventory again. lol
MFG's are supposed to Make parts . Dealers are supposed to stock parts so that customers have them when they want them.

I wish I could buy from you guys, but as a WA resident, i cant justify paying the sales tax
Sure you can call us and we will see what we can do to make it work. It still may be a tad bit more but you get the product in 1-2 days max should make it really worth it!

I found an X Factor 2.5 sitting in front of my garage door when I got home last night.

Christmas in July.... Gotta love it !

hmmm... I ordered my RK 2.5 max travel from Northridge on 02/17/2015 and Northridge told me that it would be a 15 day lead time for RK parts as RK will ship directly to me.

I already made an appointment for install on march 07. I think I might have to cancel that if I don't get any parts during the first week of March.
