Rock Slider Choices: Poison Spyder, Pure Jeep, and Evo

These are the three I think I like the best. The Evo may be the only one that I can simply use the slider part without the tub protector? Are any of you guys using any of these? If so, do you like them? I don't mind the weld-on aspect and actually prefer that to simply having two bolt points.

EVO: Bumper/Armor/Skids, EVO MFG(3) Armor Rock Sliders

I like It doesn't look like you need rubi rails to make them look complete either.

Billy Rockers

Check out the Nemesis Billy Rockers. The design (I think) is superior to poison spyder. The customer service with poison spyder (I think again) is superior to Nemesis. You can reach the poison spyder people for help if you run into a jam. The nemesis guys are a little hit or miss. I tried to reach them when we were trying to install their rockers on a friday at 2pm eastern and couldnt reach anyone. (tried a bunch of times)

I do like the Nemesis design. and the welds are good and the quality is high. Just, when im in the middle of an install that is as in depth as using the nutcerts is, I want to be able to reach someone.

Their rockers are sexy tho. Ill see if I can dig up a pic.

The Billy Rockers do look good...tougher than the Poison Spyders. I am starting to really dig the EVOs too. Those use some tough tubing too. One other I did not mention but do like are the Shrockworks. I think they are bolted to three points, so I probably need to drill one point in the middle, I assume. I gotta figure this out by next week, along with my lift. Just have to get back from vacation after next week...and then may the mods begin.....

My friend put the PureJeep rails on his rig. I gotta tell you, they worked awesome. If I didn't already have rails I would be buying these.

I'll be doing poison spyder to match my bumpers when I get to that point. But I just ordered 2 front bumpers from them so I need to let the pocket book recover again.

Here's a link to an explanation of our Brawler Rockers. These rockers survived a trip through the King of the Hammers race in 2011.

Rubi rails wouldn't fit. ACE are the only ones that are use in conjuction with Rubi rails.

My favorites are Evo and PSC too but the Evo's are welded (if I am not mistaken) so there could be an argument for "stronger" but the Rocker Knockers, I have no doubt, would hold up to a bashing.

Nemesis Billy Rocker

Here is a look at the insides of the nemesis billy rocker,

The textured part is the outer shell, the black glossy part is the interior space frame. Overall, the use of aluminum should only way about 20lbs more than the rubicon stock rock rail on either side. But they are supposed to be tougher than 3/16ths in steel. I havent bashed mine into anything yet, but im going to very soon. I have a date with rausch creek in 2 weeks.

Well I installed my Poison Spyder ones yesterday and I absolutely love them. Spray on bedliner is cheaper than power coating and I can touch it up in seconds at home. So the paint ends up being a non issue for me since I'd just cover the power coat up anyway.

That slider in the center is beefier than it looks in the photographs. They're just as sturdy as the mounting flanges. I have no qualms about them being able to take a beating that's for sure.

Look great! I assume the install went well since you didn't mention anything? Can you actually step on them to get in or is the tube too narrow? Or put another way- do you have to step over them? Height challenged so I actually would like to use it as a step too. Any chance you can get a shot sometime from the front so I can see the angle? Looks about 45 degrees? Have fun testing them.

Just saw your other pics and comments on the other thread- answered my questions exactly. Saw the angle and that you're stepping over them. Funny I have a step to get into my truck so i am exactly the opposite of you- used to the step. No horses for me. At least I am not the only height challenged person who has to consider these things.

Lol nope. I routinely here chuckles at the shoppette when people see me grab the roll bar handle and jump in. I'm sure it's kinda humorous to watch.
