Rough Country Bumper Kit Install - pics

I couldn't think of something more fun to do then take a saw to my JK this evening. Thanks to MTH for cutting up my bumper on his property. I'm gonna warn the ladies now...his hands were like a surgeons on this job.

This was good times and a super-easy install for those who are wondering. And I'll tell ya', there's nothing like a Makita reciprocating saw for "surgical" precision.

Got to be careful with a saw and anything. Once you start cutting...this is why I could never be a surgeon. It's just to much fun not stopping.

ESP, I didn't elaborate but just to give you a little chuckle, I scanned all the way down the pictures and thought....that's odd, they didn't change anything and finally zeroed in on the bumper ends....doooooh.

I put them on my Rubi about 2 or 3 weeks ago b/c I saw MTH's thread. I love the look. I just wish the plastic texture matched the stock bumper better.

I think it looks good but if you want an even color match then your could rhino line the whole front bumper including the caps? I know some have done this. I think it looks good both ways.

Do it, I was a little hesitant too but I really like it and it was definitely worth the $60. Looks great and provide a better angle for many things.

Yep, like ESP, I can't imagine going back to my stock bumper after doing this. I like the look so much better, plus I don't have to deal with the weight of an aftermarket bumper and it only costs around $60. Can't beat the bang for the buck, IMO.

It's certainly inexpensive, and it looks great!

I think I might be in after the newness wears off.

I had that OCF light bar for a while on mine too. It never grew on me but I think it would have looked better on the smaller chopped bumper that I have now and bigger tires. Kinda wished I hadn't sold it.

Here's a pic of mine with it on the stock bumper.

^^ I like the way my "stock" bumper has come together now, with a chop, end caps, a light bar, and a skid plate (though you can't see the plate very well in the pics). See here and here.

That driveway looks familiar . . . .
