Rough Country Front Lower Control Arms?

I am considering adding at least front lower control arms with my new leveling kit which is going on top of my 19/60 coil upgrade. I noticed the Rough Country was very reasonable, just wonder if anyone had any experience with them. Next cheapest that I seen was Daystar. Is the Daystar any good? With the new leveling kit it should give me a total of about 3" over stock

I can find reviews on their lift but not much on the control arms

Why don't you see how the jeep drives before committing to arms?

Have you looked Into the AEV drop brackets at all $99 ?

I looked at the AEV drop bracket but they just seem to reduce ground clearance. I like the idea just not sure I like how low they bring down the arms.

The only thing I hate is if I do feel I need them afterwards it will cost even more. They are planning an alignment after my new shocks and pucks are put in. The last alignment they said I was already slightly off. Not sure 1" will make much difference but if I am already off then it isn't going to get better. The Rough Country were only $179 which isn't too bad, just don't know how they hold up.

Hate to not do it and then say well I wish I did it then have to pay for another alignment. Wish i could do my own work. Would never paid someone to do this work in the past.

Well, after reading another thread, it looks like I need to throw Rusty's Adjustable Front Lower Control Arms w/ Forged Flex End (JK) in the mix

Rough Country is $179
Rusty' are $199
Daystar is $259

RC and Daystar I can get free shipping not sure on the Rusty's yet but here pretty good reviews about their stuff

I can't help you with the RC lca's - but I just put the Rustys on yesterday. I haven't heard anything but good about the Rustys & they are cheaper than most anything else out there. I'm happy so far & wish I just did it after my lift & before my first alignment.

Good luck!

Have you had any noise issues?

The only bad comments that I have read on Rusty's is that they were noisy and had to be sent locking nuts to correct. This seems to be on older post so they may have corrected this.

I wish someone has ran the RC control arms. they definitely are the best deal. I have only found a couple post on them from someone that actually had them and they didn't say anything bad. They say they are beefy. Most I see when i am researching is people asking if they are good.

All aftermarket control arms are "beefy" when it comes to the stocj between the joints. And theres where the difference lies, between poly, rubber, off shelf heims and sphericals and JJ's.

Pretty much in order of worst, to best as stated^

Just read there was clunking noise but those articles where5 years old. Nothing since so I say they fixed the issue. On that note, talked to the off road shop today and they pretty much talked me out of LCA's said that at most, he thought I would need cam bolts and really wouldn't worry about arms at this time unless I went to a bigger lift.

Might throw that savings into new side rails

Sounds like you might forego the LCAs, but I just thought I'd link up this thread from a while back: (http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/cho...as-132176.html).

The Rough Country LCAs come up and, as I recall, there are some first hand accounts of poor performance of the threads and joints.
