Yep, it's been chatted about quite a bit:

Even though Rugged Ridge tops aren't known to be great (leak-free/durable), I'd expect this to be very expensive. And it would be very frustrating to pay high-end top prices (Bestop+) only to get a mediocre top, even if it comes with a motor.
Beyond that, can you raise/lower the top even if the motor burns out? How much trunk space is lost? Aren't we going to miss the rear side windows? Can you replace the fabric without replacing the motor? Can you replace the motor without replacing the fabric? What (if any) safety precautions are built-in in the event my toddlers push the button?
No doubt a good idea, but I'm dubious it's going to be executed well right out of the gate . . . or perhaps ever. If they pull it off though, it'll be huge.
And it turns out the cost is way up there. As in, Wild Boar Hardtop prices. That's nuts. And the blindspots generated from the absence of rear windows must be maddening.
It could turn into a desirable accessory for folks with disabilities or a small women perhaps. But otherwise, I can think of a lot of other things most jeepers would do with $5k. I'm not sure RR is going to come out ahead on this one. We'll see.
