RR XHD or Mopar Off-Road Bumpers??

I am getting bumpers hopefully this next week and I haven't decided yet between the Rugged Ridge XHD or the Mopar Off-Road bumpers. I have read basically only good things about both of them. I really like how they both look but I was thinking it wouldn't hurt to see a couple more pictures of them or read a couple more reviews on them. If I got the Rugged Ridge, I would get the end caps and the center hoop on it. And whichever one I get, it will have a winch on it. SO the prices are just about equal for them. Pictures and reviews would be great!

Thanks in advance!

OK, Mopar is out of the picture, Rampage or Rugged Ridge?

I personally really like the XHD, but only in stubby form. I am not a fan of the end caps at all. I would definitely pick the Rampage over the XHD with end caps.

I really like my XHD. It has proven it's toughness after hitting a deer with no damage. Don't know much about the Rampage but love my XHD. I have the stubby end caps but here my with hoop

Yea, see the thing I like about it is that if I do get tired of the end caps, i can just take them off. I will have to do some more research on both of them though. Thanks for the reply!

I did read somewhere though that the finish on the Rugged Ridge flaked on someones.. Does your bumper still look good?

Have had RR XHD bumper for a year. No problems with the finish. installation was easy. Got a killer deal on autoanything.com.

I really like them but am considering the Duratracs because of weight after these wear out. Have to say they eat up the trails though. What gas prices make you do

Talking Well if............

.................. you can survive a 3-week wait after order, want made in the US of A and want great quality, get LoD

Mine is scheduled to ship the week of 2/6, 3-wks after order and they offered me my desired "gloss black" finish

Got the Rear with a tire swing-out carrier to get the weight off my tail gate Had already replaced the Front Bumper

Thanks for the reply! See, The reason I really like the Rugged Ridge is because if i got tired of something, I can just change it out. I don't have to go buy a whole new bumper... I don't want a bumper that has a permanent stinger on it because I will only want it on there certain times. I also want something different that not a lot of people have so my Jeep stands out. Haven't seen many people with Rampage around here where I live.. or the Rugged Ridge..

I just installed the XHD yesterday with a little help from my 11 year old son. I like it a lot.

I'm in the same boat trying to decide. But you're right about being able to change the looks of the xhd easily with bolt ons. I'm leaning towards the stubby and can add on as I get used to it. Anybody know how good the aluminum version fares in a crash, as with a deer? $200 extra for alot less weight in the front may be worth it and I think it may be as good as stock for impact...

Going on two years, no flaking. Winch rope starting to fade but I still think she's beautiful
Wouldn't mind adding the short ends though...

Absolutely love my XHD. No flaking, easy install, uses factory fogs, and looks great!

Not to complicate things but take a look at JCR Offroad's Dagger Bumper. I was going to buy either a PSC Spyder or a XHD until i saw these! They have a lot of options, great pricepoint, and made right here in the U.S.A.!! (I've heard the XHD is made overseas.)

This is a tough decision. I personally like the Smittybilt SRC bumper for that kind of application.

i'm sweating this same decision. the choice i make i'll have to live with for a couple of years, at least. it's interesting to me that the mopar bumper got poo-pooed right off the bat, with no questions asked. how come? i thought mopar bumpers were made by AEV and that AEV made good stuff. no?
