Rubber Mats

I am a proud owner of the new 2012 Rubicon. I need rubber mats front and back seats. Any suggestions on where to purchase them?

Also if there is a mat that is heavy enough that won't become a weapon when driving with the top off. I almost rolled the Jeep the other night, trying to catch a flying mat from the rear

Have eMailed Weathertech 3-time in 2-weeks, to see if the 2011 "Package" would fit the 2012, NO REPLY!

I am a Long Time customer, but with such POOR customer service, I may not order from them for my 2012 Unlimited

Are you saying the 2011 set fits the 2012? AS I do not see the 2012 listed

Why wouldn't they? A 12 is exactly the same as an 11 except for the engine.

I have the MOPAR mats in front and in the cargo area (rear seat out) in my '11.....I like them .

I have 'Weathertech' mats front back and cargo area in my wifes V70 Volvo and had them in my other trucks. Nice product. Well worth the money.

Tom is right,.....why wouldn't a 2011 fit in the 2012? Its the same Jeep.....except the '12 has the inferior motor.......

I have the exact same slush mats that are Quadratec brand and they suck. They collapse in on the sides and now they are bubbling up in the middle. Seems like the longer I own them, the more they lose their shape. Also, when the doors are off, air causes the rear mat to fly up onto the seat.

I'd recommend another brand.

I have the Mopar tire tread mats for the front but they don't make them for the rear on a 2 door. I bought cheep Walmart ($5.00) mats and cut them to fit. So far I am happy with the mats and they were a lot cheaper then Weathertech.

Quadratec comes highly recommended... and I will most likely be ordering them too. PM quadratec guys on the forum, and they'll likely give you free shipping or some deal like that.

Also, FYI -- I just noticed the other day that the cargo area slush mat is rubberized on the other size, with the Jeep logo. Serves immediate needs for the cargo area. Not sure whether it's something common or not, but that's a first that I've noticed.

The front and rear seat liners fit, however the 2011 cargo liner does not yet. They told me it is about another 30 days out for them to mold and create one for the 2012 cargo area. The quality of their product, as you know, is outstanding.

Yup, I just bought a set F & R and the cargo liner for my 2012.

The cargo liner is fine for me, although the tailgate does contact the cargo liner a little bit.

The Quadratec mats have a lifetime warranty against defects such as that. We can replace them free of charge

We have the weathertech Liners in our 2012 Sahara front and rear. Great product! I also have them in my SRT8 challenger and had them in our patriot as well.

The carpet and factory mats are black. I have this same color combo in my Rubi.

I have Weathertech in my Yukon. Do your Weathertech mats stay in place with doors off and top off?

Tom, as is sort of refered to in Slacker's message, I think there may actually be more changes we don't know about. I bought the Smittybuilt CRS netting. It was listed for up through 2011 model year. It did not fit my 2012. The hard plastic flanges that secure it to the removable door frames are at least 4 inches too long to fit the 2012. It appears that the door frames changed. I also bought the smittybuilt boot. The openings for the rollcage were 3 inches too close together, suggesting that the roll cage dimensions and mounting points have changed (at least on the JKU?). I have not measured this dimension on an 11 to compare to my 12 yet, but it is possible. Smitty said they were looking into the door frame change, but did admit it could have been a quality control issue with the boot. They just received their test bed 2012 a few weeks ago and promised to call once they had investigated the things I pointed out to them. I have not heard back yet.

I have a soft top and door surrounds from a 2011 on my 2012. Mine's a four door and they fit just like they did on the 2011.

ranjr, my softtop fits perfect. At the back door on the JKU, there is no tab or flange to tuck in to the door frame. But with the Smittybuilt CRS, there is a tab to tuck in. And the door frame on the 2012 does not allow this.

In the picture, my finger is on the tab on the CRS. Below my finger is the door frame. Left is forward on the Jeep. On the door frame, to the left of my finger, there is a piece of the door frame that is molded all the way around. No channel or track to inset the tab. To the right of my finger you can see the channel that the tab would insert into. But, a majority of the tab is to the left, toward the front of the Jeep where there is no channel. And yes, I did have my wife look at it to make sure I wasn't trying to install it backwards or upside down! So, it is possible that this is also a QC issue for Smitty (ie, sewing the tab in the wrong place) but it also might be a subtle change in the door surrounds. Until I am parked next to a 2011, or Smitty calls back, I just don't know.....
