Ouch. Can't wait to here how this happened. Looks like it slipped sideways off something and dropped HARD on the slider. Definitely would classify the stock ruby rails as Sliders not full blown Rock Rails.
Yea, many had to gas it up the steep incline onto some huge rocks. Like this one here.

Yes and many places don't have bypasses. Some times it looks like it in photos but photos don't always show the real line that's available.

That involved some serious skinny pedal and/or jumping. I have crawled the extreme rock trails and other than many scratches and crunching one of the end caps, my rails are fully functional and look othing like that. I have pivoted on them, slid on them and come down on them.

When you go rock crawling, the objective is to run over the rocks, not go around them lol. That picture involved a driver fail of some sort. Rock crawling is meant to be just that, crawling. Slow. It takes a hard drop that has to involve a lot of skinny pedal to do that.
