rubi ride

will have to order w/o being able to do a test drive, so input for the peanut gallery is welcomed how does the rubi ride compared to the x or sahara? it list a different suspension so i'm thinking harder? also going to the 4:10 gives the same mpg rating, i find that hard to believe or do the 32" make the loss up?

If you're worried about mpg, then u bought the wrong vehicle. Your mpg will vary depending on a lot of things. How you drive, where you drive, short or long trips, blah blah blah... With 32's and 4:10s a conservative estimate would be 14mpg. They do ride nice though. You're gonna love it. Just order it and enjoy! Did you already pick a dealer? I can order one for you and have it drop shipped to any dealership if you don't already have a guy. PM me if you are interested.

The Rubicon is going to be a better choice for you if you plan on building it up, as there are no axle or t-case upgrades for the JK yet. All automatics got the 4.10 gears, while the 6 speed got the 3.21 gears. The only real difference in the 2 as far as suspention goes is the Rubicon has a High Pressure gas charged shock. My JK Rubi auto, with an aFe intake on it is now pluggin out 18.3 MPG in town. The V-6 is a much better engine for fuel economy than the previous 4.0 engine. Its lacking a little bit down low, but up top it should pull a 4.0, at least mine does.. The 3.21 gears and the 6 speed, will barely hold 75 on the freeway on anything other than FLAT ground. A little hilly, drop down to 5th.... So... I would suggest a Rubicon if you can afford it over the Sahara.

The Rubi's low 4 to 1 T-Case is too low for me, my Sahara's 2.8 to 1 low range with 3.73's and the 5 speed auto has that nice sweet spot when off road, I am not rock climbing with it.

I was worried about the rubi 4:1 with 4.10 being too low because my ZJ was 3:73 and a np249 and on 31's felt nice, and all I hear about on the internet is how horrible of a setup it seems to be (too low). I put 15 trail hours on my 13 JKUR in the last 2 weeks and I love the setup! Took it thru varying east coast terrain and was less jerky in first gear than my other rigs higher ratio setup.
