Rubicon Express 2.5" Coil Lift.

Hey Y'all,

I am looking at doing a 2.5" coil lift on my 2 dr, and in order to stay under budget, I am leaning towards going with the rubicon express kit with the twin tube shocks. I cannot really afford to go with the RK kit or an AEV kit, so this seems like an attractive option. Before I pull the trigger and order the kit, I was hoping that one of y'all could let me know (hopefully from experience) how that lift performs both on and off road, and if anyone has run into any problems with it.

I have the 3.5" coil lift and shocks (can't remember which were the better shocks but I have the more expensive ones) and its a great lift so far. Haven't really been off road but it's smooth on road. No noise from the lift, not flimsy, all around I'm happy. I know there are better options out there but I chose this lift to upgrade to mid or long arm down the road. I think you'll be happy. Got exactly 3.5" of lift and didn't really compress much with full size spare, replacement front and rear bumpers, and a winch.

2012 JKU, 3.5" Rubicon Express lift, 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers, Pro Comp 17's, Smittybilt SRC rock rails, XRC front bumper with XRC8000 winch, Wurx rear bumper, and other stuff that's cool!!!

Look at the Rancho 2" Sport Lift.

It comes with their 9000xl shocks, new front coils and rear spacers. It's a good compromise with great shocks.

Teraflex makes a great 2.5 coil lift. I have heard nothing, but good things about it. You can even get it with shock extensions and pick up some rubi take off shocks to save you some cash.

Get monotube shocks. Do not get twin tubes.
