Rubicon grille clock

So I bought a used black wrangler grille to mess with and put on the Jeep. Did a Duracoat wilderness brown mirage color and put it on my sahara tan Rubicon. I liked the two-tone look, but after a while, it just looked a little too mismatched. I didn't want to just waste the grille, so I did some work and made it my garage clock and temp gauge along with some lighting.

My only complaint is the wires hanging down. Otherwise it looks great!

That is nice. I would definately purchase one of those from you, in Flame Red of course. Maybe a good idea to start a small business. That came out great.

Fantastic!
That is extremely cool and well done too.

Do the DIY grill mesh mod on it if you don't want to see the wall through the slats!

Maybe somebody like Quadratec or AEV could do these. It would be an expensive setup unless you had access to used grilles! The clock and temp gauge were only $10 each, the led light set up with covers was about $30. Other small parts were about $20 more, so really just the cost of the grille and labor would be it. I am putting a wireless remote power switch on it now, so no wires.

I think that is an amazing piece that you made. I also like the idea about using a grill mesh, black of course, and the wireless remote switch. I think you're missing the boat if you don't do these yourself. There are alot of used parts yards around to find grilles. Or, have potential customers get the grille and mesh if they want a particular type and ship it to you for completion. That would probably work out as less of a headache for you. If you'll consider doing it PM me with info.

Should put a map behind the grill, see what kind of effect it gives.
