rubicon parts question

i am sorta new to the jeep think, been thinking of getting one for a bit and love the info on this forum. but i was wondering something about the rubicon, if was to do a aftermarket lift kit and suspension parts, it would probably be better to get the sahara right? my thinking is that why spend the extra on the rubicon if i am going to turn around and upgrade the suspesion and few other parts. after all the biggest thing with the rubicon is the suspension parts right? so if i got the rubicon and did the aftermarket upgarde the rubicon parts would come off in place of the lift kit? so am in on the right track or am i way off in my thinking, not to mention the rubicon is a bit more expensive than the others. so i would be able to save some cash to put towards some new bits.

The difference in suspension between the Rubi and other models is very small and is not the reason for the higher price tag. D44 axles F&R with 4.10 gears, 4:1 transfer case, lockers, etc, etc . . . those are the reasons for the higher price . . . very little has to do with the slightly different suspension. The Rubi is all about off-road . . . if you plan to really get out there and wheel the thing, then the Rubi is the only choice (unless you're planning to build a buggie), but for just driving around and moderate wheeling, the Rubi is overkill.
