So in my 2010 jku sport the "ESP" button is the the one with car sliding around?

Yes, same as every other JK. It would serve you well to review your manual on your DVD or download it from www.jeep.com.

Having a winch or a come along would have given you options other than the tow truck if you had truly been stuck. Something to think about for you next solo Jeep adventure!

I don't have much Jeep experience, but I was once stuck in a mud hole in my '72 International Scout with completely inadequate tires. I was out of options so I threw it into 4L and it tractored right out of that thing. Amazing!! (I started carrying a come along after that moment of triumph!! )
