Well, for anyone interested a Rubi sway bar will bolt right up to a Sport with no modifications. Just make sure and have the special hanger bracket for the disco side.

Don't know how I missed this thread reopened. Glad you got yours installed. So far I love mine and it works great. And yes there is no modifications needed at all. A Rubicon sway bar bolts right up on the sport, 6 bolts counting the sway bar links. The EVO just takes three bolts.

Can anyone tell me what this bracket is? I'm going to be installing a Rubi sway bar in my X this weekend but I don't have this bracket.

It looks like #12 in this diagram I THINK but I'm not really sure. My swaybar has both brackets with bushings that bolt up to the frame on either side, but I assume there is a 3rd bracket to hold the smart bar steady so it can't rotate.

Figured it out. The bracket that came with my bar is broken, it doesn't have the hangar on it. Looks like I need a new one.

I'm interested in adding a rubi sway bar and the EVO manual knob to my sport. Anymore thoughts or info on this?

Espo78 or anyone else, can you post a pic of the required special bracket needed for this install on a non-rubi? Thanks!

In the link I posted above there is a picture of it. It's #12 on the diagram. I think I paid 30 or 40 dollars for it. If you buy a Rubicon sway bar used most likely it will come with it.

I can say that for the price of the EVO knob I'm a little disappointed. I've only had it for a few months, in normal weather with some rain storms, and the knob and the shaft are both rusting. Not sure why EVO wouldn't use stainless on something that lives underneath a Jeep. It still seems to work ok but it's definitely a little harder to turn and it makes an annoying noise now when I turn it. Might spray it down with some kind of protective lube.
