Rugged Brown...Anyone?

I see a lot of posts with black jeeps. There are threads about reds and greens but I saw the rugged brown and loved it. Anyone else here have one? She now has Ace sliders and I have ordered the following:

ACE Mid-Width with Bull Bar and Light holes
ACE Rear with Carrier with hitch and lights
Rock Krawler 2.5” Flex System
Rock Krawler 1” front and rear bump stops
Rock Krawler front spring clips
FOX IFP Shocks
TeraFlex Exhaust Spacers

She'll be awesome when I'm done. Still looking for that perfect name for her. .

I saw it in the brochure recently and immediately thought about what happens the day after half of a bottle of scotch...rugged brown...

Not for me. On some of the trips that I've been on, a few passengers have shat their pants. I have to admit that the thought, "I wonder if jeep could make the wrangler in a color that matches what don just did in his pants," never crossed my mind.

But to each his own and if it's your money, spend it on a color that you like. After all, that's what really matters. Not opinions from strangers who you don't know.

Just saying. $0.02

I really like the Rugged Brown, it was just too close to black for me. I went Commando instead... I mean the color...

Name options:
- Brown Sugar
- Rocher or Truffle
- UPS... then you could ask "What can Brown do for you?"

Im with you. The one i test drove was that color and its not my thing either. The great thing about jeeps is there is a color for everyone, enjoy the new ride.

Big fan

It is probably my favorite color in the 2013 lineup. I will be getting one in the fall and that is the color I will be looking for, it looks great with all the upgrades on it. Not many people seem to like it though, which is a good thing.

Cool color. Like Dune, Rugged Brown seems to be a very rare color around me, I have only seen a couple on the road.

That's funny. Didn't think everyone likes it just kinda wondering if anyone else has one else has one.

Saw one at the dealer 2 days ago. Really close to black. When just passing thought it was black then said something just not right that's when I noticed it was brown. Really cool color though. I think it's a must to keep clean to truly enjoy the brown though

I like the color itself, but maybe not on a Jeep. I'm not sure I like the brown/black contrast.

It is very close to black. The black trim actually is ok to me as long as its flat and textured. Black goes with everything except navy blue or so my wife tells me.???

You will need to find a leftover 2013 with rugged brown because the color is discontinued for 2014.

Commando Green and Rugged Brown were both discontinued. They were sales proof, for the most part. I've never seen a Rugged Brown JK on the road, and I've only seen one other Commando Green around here besides my own (which is fine with me).

Nice color, can't explain why other people try to trash colors other than their own Black, white or silver/grey?

I do not have or have seen a rugged brown Jeep yet but looks like a cool color.

Sorry I can't contribute to your original request since my jeep is a CG.

I'm digging the brown. I was going to go that route and build one to match my neighbors '43 Willi, with a custom classic creme rim.

I just bought my first jeep. I was going to go with black but at the last minute a rugged brown Sahara came in and changed my mind. I am glad I did because the color is great. It's tough to tell from the pic but it looks great in the sun.

I've had my Rugged Brown for about a month now, and I have never regretted it! it does look black at night/low light, but looks awesome in the daytime. Unless I've waved to a fellow RBer at night, I've not seen another in my area. An additional unintended plus to the brown, my orange inserts help me support my Browns!

My son just purchased one yesterday at Koons Jeep in Vienna, Va. We are 252 miles west of Koons and believe me it was well worth the trip to deal with these guys. They were able to get us exactly what we wanted. The JKU was ordered in late May after the ordering was closed down and then it was DELIVERED to the Dealership the same day as it was completed. They were able to uniquely get a Rugged Brown built to our exact specs. Pricing and Financing were GREAT as far as we are concerned. Thanks again to Thomas Higgins (Sales Mgr) @ Koons Jeep.
