Rugged Ridge Light Bar

I'd like to hear some feedback from anyone who owns a Rugged Ridge Light Bar for your JK. Any issues with it whistling? Any issues at all?

I've only had mine on for a couple of months, with the hard top. Took the drivers side freedom panel off for a ride last week and was surprised, no noise. Will find out about the soft top in a month if winter ever decides to leave. Love the way it looks and throws some serious light.

I don't have any whistling issues, but with all of the conflicting reviews.....you will absolutely have to cut on a 2014. I read the reviews that said no cutting, but there is no way to avoid it. The plastic piece between bumper and grill will have to be cut. I started with a hole saw and ended up cutting a rectangle out to get it to fit right. Not a big deal, just don't waste your time. Cut out enough to fit the entire top of the bracket through the plastic piece and you'll be done in no time. I like the look now that it's done, but wouldn't do it again.

I'm talking about a windshield mount light bar.

You`ll need to cut your antenna down and re-fit the ball on the end or get an antenna-x. I cut mine to 14".

Why do you need to shorten the antenna?

I had the same bar on my cosmos rubicon. After second year. I cut it off with a sawzaw and junked it. It rusted bad and rust ran down the pillars onto the fenders. Make sure you paint it good before installing it. "if you do not want your jeep looking like a rusty piece of crap"

I have whistling issues. People whistle when they see the Rigid light bar...just before they say "Damn...that must be really bright." And mine is just a 30" bar on the bumper.
