Rugged Ridge Modular XHD Front Bumper

I have a Rugged Ridge Modular XHD Front Bumper with a NON-WINCH, Black Center Hoop, and End Caps as my options.

Rugged Ridge Modular Heavy Duty Bumpers - Quadratec

Is there anyway I can get a winch onto this bumper without having to cut into it, if so would there be enough room for a winch because of the Black Center Hoop?

I assume I'd just need a mounting bracket to get a winch on there and have to drill for any holes that don't match up?

Would this winch plate fit?

Just wondering if anyone has done it or has any suggestions for me.

I can't see fitting a winch with on top of the bumper with the center hoop, my winch barely fits under the hoop and I have the winch version where it's sunk down... Id highly recommend just getting the winch version and selling the old one, the winch version is made to fit a winch and keeps it mounted lower down between the frame rails

This bumper is made to add a winch and keep the hoop. You buy the specific plate, and remove the top cover and you are good to go.

You are missing what he is asking. There are 2 versions of this bumper. He has the NON winch bumper.

The answer is... probably not going to happen. Sell your version and get the winch version or get rid of the hoop.

Maybe so, but I have the non winch version as well, and I can pop this plate off and add the winch plate. Mine is the aluminum version, maybe the standard version is different.

the version you have is different from the one we are talking about. There is no hole in the NON winch version or cover of the steel version.

I would be skeptical if the non winch bumper has the support to properly hold a winch. But then again looking at the little bolts that hold the aluminum winch housing down, does not seen like it would take a lot of a bumper to hold it. I still say just get the winch bumper but if you can make what you have rod go for it would be cool to do a hidden winch and have it inside the bumper all together.

Hidden winch in XHD

I went with the XHD non winch for placement of lights and I really don't have a use for the winch at his time. I will be looking to fab a winch hidden behind the bumper if possible as it sounds like an interesting project. Similar to how this guy did his although this was in a stock bumper, very nice work though. Not sure there will be enough space behind the XHD though as it sits back further than the stock bumper. hidden winch in stock bumper
