Rugged Ridge side bar w/ step pic?

Anyone have a set of these bars mounted?

Rampage Products 8627 - Rampage Products Endurance Side Bars in Powdercoated Black for 07-13 Jeep® Wrangler JK 2 Door - Quadratec

I'm curious how they look on the Jeep. Ideally I want something that gives my wife a helping hand into the Jeep (she's a bit short ) but I'm not liking the individual steps I've seen so far.

Help me out folks, post a pic if you have it please!

Dirk

I have the Rampage Slimline steps and love them, along with my wife and kids who can now get into the JKU much easier. Know that these or the ones you are looking at will provide much protection, but for me that wasn't an issue. I'm not going hardcore off-roading anytime soon, just a couple trails here and there that aren't bad at all.

Here they are at the Rampage website:
Rampage Page 21

and here is the link for Amazon, where I picked them up for $165 out the door with the prime account.
Amazon.com: Rampage 26628 Side Bar - Pair: Automotive

I personally like the uniqueness of these versus the simple tube steps and I actually think these go a bit further down to help the step in process for my wife and kids.

I still haven't made up my mind on what to get. I did a Google search on the Rugged Ridge bars and found a few decent pics, and I do like them but I was browsing around the forums here and stumbled across a thread where pretty much everyone recommends the ACE rock sliders.

Initially I didn't like them as much but they grew on me and now I can't decide between the 2. It *seems* the ACE bars are more rugged, but I don't really get out too much to have to worry about that. And my wife liked the ACE better when I showed her them side by side

I'm still browsing around now to get a better feel for if the Rugged Ridge are decent or not, haven't seen any real opinions so far.

this happened when I was buying my rims too, took me a month to decide!

I have the rugged ridge side rails and they're great. As a step and off road protection.
They took quite a beating last time I went off road and held up quite well.

For a step they should be ok. But for stumps and big rocks I don't think they are strong enough for that. I hate the angle alone. ACE slider are perfect for both steps and the best protection your going to get and they are car door killer for those with cars that park to close

That's a pet peeve of mine, i'm always parking at the end of the lot to avoid people who pay no attention to the door swinging out. Hell, I was sitting in my Jeep the other day eating lunch and some lady whacked my rear fender, I hollered at her and she just blankly looked at me and walked away.

Honestly, that just sold me right there. Well worth the extra hundred, not to mention they are tougher construction.

Thanks!
Dirk
