Rugged Ridge XHD in my Amazon Cart- advice

I finally decided to go with the XHD over the Mopar Offroad.

In my Amazon cart but not placed yet:

11540.10 (Winch Bumper Black) $396.66
11540.12 (Bumper Ends Black) $174.29
11540.14 (Black Hoop Over Rider) $61.86
18003.30 (Black Front Skid Plate) $176.38

All is free shipping. (good deal or not??)

Anyone have experience with the 18003.30 skid plate? Is it a waste of money or good?

I also need a winch and don't want to spend more than $800 or so. Any recommendations?

That is basically the set up i have here almost exactly and the price seems right about what should be expected. I have my JK lifted 3.25 inches so the weight wasn't an issue for me. If you are sitting on stock suspension it might be a bit droopy? I went with a smittybilt XRC 8500 winch.

hit me up with any questions you may have. I also installed it all.

Hi Snax,
This is exactly what I put on mine, I chose the M8000 Warn for $750.00 Very happy with all of it. I can feel the extra weight on the front but it's not a big deal, if it sagged it wasn't more than 1/2 inch.

Smitty bilt XRC 10. It's a damn beast man. It'll skid the jeep across dry pavement before it'll get close to boggin down. Look around and you can get a decent deal. Under $500

Thanks to all you guys for the follow up. Especially the pictures. I have the COD Black OPS so know I know what my set up will look like on the Black Jeep. I like it. I do have the stock Rubicon Suspension so we will see how it works out. I also like the look of the Smittybilt winches.

I have nothing against Ebay but I like the Amazon no hassle return policy. Damn good price on this Ebay auction though.

Thanks again.

This is on Amazon for $539.95. Now I have to figure out which one is better, the Warn or the Smittybilt...

Such problems I have.

You can get the Smittybilt XRC10 (10000) FOR ABOUT 399.99 even from QUADRATEC. I am sure if you fish you can find it cheaper on amazon ...etc. WARN is a great name in winches, but I have been nothing but pleased with the XRC8 I purchased.

Can I easily add the winch after the bumper is mounted? If so I would order the winch later. If not then I will order all together.

Whats the big difference between a steel cable and a synthetic rope on the winch ??

Thanks again

I would say that it is a lot easier to do it all at once if you have the money available. However, it wouldn't be the biggest pain if you had to to it later. on a 1-10 with 10 as best getting them together is an 8+ on the idea

Order is placed! Will all arrive on Saturday

I went with the Smittybilt XRC 10COMP. I really wanted the synthetic line and the price was right with free shipping from Amazon.

I'll get pics of the install up hopefully this weekend.

LOOKS COOL! Did you make that License Plate holder? I'm going to need a solution for a front plate here in MD but I was hoping to keep the fairlead visible.

I have the xrc8 but really like the stubby look. They make a tag holder that clips on the roller fairleads if you go that route

The holder right now is just 2 3/4" rubber pipe clamps. I bought a hause fairlead license plate bracket from Warrior Parts that I'm going to install this weekend.

I like the cleaner look of mounting the solenoid in the middle. I think I'm going to move mine. I like the way your lights are mounted too.

If your talking about mine, the mounting holes are already on the roller fairleads that came with my XRC winch
