Running @ Altitudes

A bit of a lame question but If you are taking your trusty wheels to the mountains are there any modifications required for running at altitude.
The on-board computer is supposed to take care of business but two years ago I ran into problems running from Denver to Grand Junction. loss of power with "coughing & spitting". Ran great on the level.

I live in CO and never had to make modifications or heard of other Jeepers doing so.
