Rusty's intake

Hey I'm looking into getting an intake and I dont see the reason why most company's charge $250+ for a simple piece of metal. So I decided to check out the reasonably priced Rusty's intake. Can anyone tell me how they like it... is it worth getting the Rusty's or the brand name models. I also noticed it doesnt have the Heat shield that the more expensive models have but I dont really think it effects it that much since the cars moving and theres always cold air moving around in the engine bay. Thanks for any help

From what i see, Rusty's sell only adapter w/filter, the $250 intake replaces everything from throttle body. Which means that you get a nice polished aluminum 3" pipe, filter, heat shield, and most likely new pretty air hoses for different censors.

wow I just checked out the inlet for the stock intake box and I dont think i've ever seen such an odd and small hole for an inlet. Albeit its probably good for water fording since it points to the side instead of forward and points up instead of down. But I dont think most people are gonna be fording water that is 4 feet high. I think any sorta 360 degree intake filter will help out ALOT. So im gonna just pick up a Rusty's airtube and filter for $70
