Sahara

Hey guys. Just wondering what an average price for a 2008 Jeep Wrangler SUV 4X4 Sahara would be? If you have one, and don't mind discussing it, what did you pay for it? The one I'm looking at includes the following..

Airbag Deactivation
Air Conditioning
Vehicle Stability Assist
Satellite Radio
EBD Electronic Brake Dist
Power Steering
Tachometer
Cruise Control
Compass
Adjustable Head Rests
Fog Lamps
Cargo Cover
Folding Rear Seats
Center Console
Privacy Glass
Skid Plates
Removable Roof
Power Rear Vent Windows
Outside Temperature Gauge
Intermittent Wipers
Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
Beverage Holder (s)
RADIAL TIRES
Rear Bench Seat
CD Player in Dash
Tire Pressure Monitor
MP3 Player
EBA Emergency Brake Asst
Power Door Locks
Air Conditioning
Cloth Upholstery
Running Boards
Bucket Seats
Traction Control System
Anti-Theft Device(s)
Door Pocket(s)
4 Wheel Drive
Factory Installed Anti-Theft Device
Color Coded Mirrors
Power Outlet(s)
Hard Top
Dual Air Bags
Contour Running Boards
Tow Hooks
AM/FM STEREO RADIO
ALLOY WHEELS

It also has 25,730 miles on it with only 1 previous owner.

I know some of that is not special and included in every Wrangler, but with these options about how much would you guys give for this?
As always, thanks in advance guys!

I guess looking around at similair vehicles will provide you the best info (= benchmarking it with the current market). Something you should definately ad btw is the mileage.

Hm, have been looking around a wee bit and I get prices around $32k. However, I'm on a different continent so the reliability of this figure is probably close to null....

I just picked up a 2008 sahara. 22k miles, dual tops, 3.73 gears (tow package) perfect condition. It was 22499. Traded in my 2005 liberty renegade.

I paid $23,500 for my 2-door 2008 Sahara brand new.
Everything but nav and soft-top.

Don't buy a Sahara unless you like the painted fenders, dorky wheels/bumpers/steps/dash accents, and intend to keep all that.
I didn't realize how much I'd wind up modding when I bought mine. I wasted some money and learned a lesson.

@absolutescottie You mean to tell me you payed $1k-$2k short of what a 3 year old vehicle cost new?
How do these Jeeps hold their value so well? There's literally nothing on the interior except a radio/nav system and a compass, and nothing special about the exterior either. I hate that dealerships charge that much money just because they know people will pay it just to be able to take the top off of their vehicle.

End of last year my 2008 Sahara JK with both tops and nearly all options except the nav stuff (including LSD, auto 3.73, 24G package) with 15000 miles from private party $21k.

It was the best deal I could find with the stuff I wanted on it.
Didn't care for the fender color touch, still don't care for it but it will do. Am adapting to the running boards. Like the 18" wheels and just love the way it gets me around. After driving full size 4x4 pickups 40+ years I feel like I'm driving a go-anywhere MiniCooper. Handling/ride/acceleration is just fine for me, must depend on what one is used to.

I've upgraded both headlight and fog light bulbs and got the 'hood flutter' straps fix; got the hood lock Mopar style, plus Jeep warrantied the gas tank issue for no charge. I've spent about $210 on my upgrades. I'm still a happy Jeeper.

If you aren't in a hurry, what you want will pop up unexpectedly. I got this one off Craigs List.

@Sjeupie Haha true. It sucks that dealerships do this because it makes people think when they sale their Jeeps privately that they can ask $18k-$19k for an 07' X model and actually get it! It makes it hard on those of us who want a jeep but don't have $20k to spend.

I saw a non lifted non modded TJ with chrome rims and 30" mt's with 58000 miles on it at a dealership in my area on the lot at 18500. That's 3 grand less than a 2010 sport that will show that TJ up any day on any trail and is brand new with no miles. What a joke. The sad part is TJ's like that, if there clean pull 13-15000 all day. I like my JK but I would never buy one used and certainly not for the money they bring. I'll find another 500$ xj and drive that around like the last one I found 3 years ago.

@rammerjammer yeah I could have gotten a brand new x with zero options but the best thing to do is find at least a 12mo old wrangler as they depreciate the most in that time. After that they usually hold their value losing about 1000 a year, depending on what kind of rich kid you sell it to, especially since, given the options someone is more likely to get a used sahara then an x in moat cases. I'll be keeping this as my toy well after it's paid off, I made sure I got the power convenience, dual tops, LSD, factory tow and prefer to kick around a manual and I also prefer the painted flairs. The gray flairs on my 05 liberty renegade began to fade and look bad.
