Sahara owners with 285's or 315's - quick question

I'm considering running 285's or 315's, but worried about my painted fenders getting all pitted up from road debris.

How are your painted fenders holding up?

I think if you still have the factory side steps on you should be fine. I sold mine and put Rubicon rails on and the leading edge of my rear fenders are marked up quite a bit with the stock tires. I'm thinking of adding Ace Sliders to deflect some of the rocks before I go to bigger tires and possibly 1.25" spacers.

I have about 4000 miles now with 315/70-17's and no problems to this point.

I have about 9k miles on mine and have done a lot of off-road and in town driving. I have a 2013 Oscar/Mike version with the painted fenders. The back ones seem to have a few small chips in them but nothing major. I have 315/70/17 tires with a 3" lift.
