Sahara Tan

Ugh, just got off the phone with my dealer and was told no new Sahara Tan orders. I already knew that but, what is up with Jeep they should not stop production of a color till at least the dealers have the 2012 literature in hand for a few months so those of us who want to custom order vehicles can get our specifications which includes color. Seems a little short sided to me, just say'n.
Oh and the Jeep I am wanting to order is as follows:

Wrangler Rubicon
Colorsedit$0Sahara Tan Clear Coat Exterior Paint$0Black / Dark Saddle Interior Colors$0Optionsedit$6,23017-Inch Aluminum Wheels Painted Satin Carbon$0LT255/75R17 BSW Off-Road Tires$0Performance Suspension$03.6-Liter V6 24-Valve VVT Engine$06-Speed Manual Transmission$0GVW Rating$04.10 Rear Axle Ratio$0Monotone Paint$0Media Center 730N CD/DVD/MP3/HDD/NAV$1,845Leather Trimmed Seats$900Air Conditioning with Automatic Temperature Control$155Power Convenience Group$685Deep Tint Sunscreen Windows$300Engine Block Heater$35Dual Top Group$1,625Smoker's Group$30Trailer Tow Group$270Connectivity Group$385Destination Charge$800 MSRP as Built + Destination$37,025Net Price

Oh Well, now I am debating on Flame Red, Orange Crush or Black.

you can still find them, i got the sahara, wish i had held out longer and found a rubicon but wanted to get it before it was snatched up. Crosscj.com in louisville ky had a rubicon not to long ago and if not theirs another one in SC somewhere, they had a pic on ebay a week ago. just be patient look around online and you may find one

Very Limited Supply

My Dealer already searched and only found 2 in 1500 miles that were only remotely close to the specs I wanted.

I "feel" for you guys but I have to say.......I love the fact they are getting to be so rare......sorry....its kinda fun to be in the minority of colour choices.

I met a fellow "jeeper" the other day and he was VERY impressed by the colour when seeing for the first time in person. It complements the black trim on the Sport "S" so well. The vehicle seems "sharper", more defined somewhat. Its a great colour and it really is too bad you can't find what you want. Honestly I hope you do.

No Hope Sahara Tan All Gone For 2012

I sent email to Jeep and got this reply from Shannon:

Dear Brad:

Thank you for your email regarding the 2012 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler
Unlimited.

Your Jeep dealership is correct, the Sahara Tan Clear Coat was removed
as an orderable exterior paint color on the 2012 Jeep Wrangler and
Wrangler Unlimited models as of late-July. Production of the Sahara Tan
Clear Coat had concluded back in August due to an early model year
buildout. I am sorry that I cannot provide you with a more favorable
response on this matter.

My best suggestion for you would be to continue to work with your
preferred Jeep dealership to see if they are capable of locating a 2012
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4x4 model in the Sahara Tan Clear Coat to your
specifications.

You are always welcome to reply back to this email and I will respond
back to you as promptly as I can. If you prefer, you can also call me
directly with your questions at the Jeep Product Information Center by
calling 1-800-964-0600. When you call, I can also put you in direct
contact with your preferred Jeep dealership if you wish. This is
providing you call during the dealer's hours of operation.

Thank you again for your email, Brad. We wish you all the best.

Sincerely,

Shannon

Sahara tan is such a sick color. They had a decent start with the Desert Sand Pearlcoat in the TJ's but they really hit the nail on the head with this color. It looks good stock unlike the desert sand! I saw a Rubi in the Sahara Tan color a couple days ago lifted with body matched pocket style flares... I had to get a towel to wipe up the drool...

I just noticed that the custom ALL Sahara Tan JKU is still for sale. It's a used '11, and priced too high, but it's still cool to look at.

I really like the look right now, but I had a shirt that color in college and after I wore it awhile this girl started telling me about the benefits of bleach.

Thanks man. Smooth on road I'm sure? Might be setting up a sahara tan that same setup! Was the teraflex a well spoken for kit or what. Any suggestions if you were to do again?
