said goodbye today

Came out to my jeep after being at the mall. Fire starter is still unknown. No one was hurt. Can't wait for this insurance mess.

Holy cow! WTF is wrong with people. Who would set a Jeep on fire at a mall in broad daylight? Glad nobody was hurt. Hope they find those responsible!

Hope you get taken care of. Car fires are difficult to rule as mechanical versus arson since by nature of the car, there will always be accelerant present. Some fire marshals won't even try to make an investigation to determine the cause for that reason, and will rule that arson cannot be ruled out, which is pretty much the same as saying arson is the cause. Hope your insurance will cover it if ruled arson

Doubtful it was arson. JK's seem to have knack for committing suicide by fire.

What a major bummer! So sad to see.
Thank goodness that did not happen while you were driving, or with your family in it!
So hope to read that your insurance company takes good care of you.
Have you thought much about what you liked, and what you will do different for the next JK?

The people putting the fire out, probably. Totally looks like an engine fire.
