They are still on sale if anybody is interested. The new Savvy doors were designed to accept Rugged Ridge soft uppers. I have a friend who runs Bestop uppers with RR doors, so i assume they will fit the Savvy doors. The doors come bare aluminum in 3 pieces plus the latch and paddle to open/close the door. Hinges are provided but i wanted them to look stock. I found a black set of factory Hinges for $30 on EBAY. I had the doors Powder coated black to match the jeep. The only con i see. The doors have no outer structure to apply a seal and keep out water. Updated pictures

Looks great! Can't wait to see yours finished. I was very tempted to get these but the lack of a weather seal and the fact that I got a great deal on some bestop soft doors held me back. I think the savvy doors looks the best of all the options I've seen so far.

Yeah the stockers are crazy expensive. Trying to figure the Savvy's out, looks like 2 boxed tubes supporting the middle, are they sturdy on the bottom corners? Interesting latch with what looks like a cable type linkage, the latch looks pretty solid too compared to some of the tube door stuff. I really like these and not super pricey.

Man those look great!! Only thing I would change is to use black rivets on yours. My Jeep is white so it probably wouldn't stand out as much. On the rivets for my snorkel on the hood I used a black sharpie and it made them practically disappear, and it's never needed touching up since day one.

Not trying to detour the thread as the Savvy half doors are very cool but Eric and his wife over at Offroad Elements are great people. Fortunately for me (but not my wallet) they are located in Abington, Ma on my way home from work. They have a nice inventory of stuff, are extremely knowledgeable and make you feel at home even if it's the first time you walk through the doors. And best of all they walk the walk. They have a nice modded JK that they have nicely modded and it spends it's fair time out on the trail. From the look of it they don't pass on many obstacles! Always happy to have you come out with them too if your up for it. Saturdays they host get togethers at the shop. Free coffee and donuts and welcome to hang around and meet other like minded Jeepers in a friendly atmosphere. Discuss each others rides and get some ideas for the next mods. Did I also mention that they carry a pretty good stock of parts? Hahaha.. It's a hard place to just "hang around".

Sorry.... Now back to Savvy doors.

I just won some doors, but unfortunately they are for a TJ. Savvy won't take them on trade for JK doors, but I'll ask Offroad Elements to see if they might. I also have them for sale in the TJ parts section.

Hopefully I can trade or sell them and get some JK doors. I really like the way they look once painted or powder coated.

Man hope it works out.

Sorry to bump this old post. I don't know anything about welding aluminum, but is it possible that the latch could be welded or attached to a bracket that is welded to the inside of the door?

I would really like to get a set of these, but I'm too OCD to deal with the screws through the door, especially since I have a 4 door door and the pictures on the website show more screws sticking through on the back doors as well.

Even painted to match the door, they destroy the otherwise clean lines on these doors. Otherwise these seem down right awesome.

Ok, so this might be a silly question that I am shocked that I had to ask the second you give me the answer. But what is the big difference between having these half doors and just rolling down the window on full doors? Does the extra inch of door around the top make a truly noticeable difference?

Tube doors make a certain amount of since, open air as can be, while still giving you somewhere to put your arm. These though just dont seem to offer a significant difference, but I might be missing something.

Easier to remove/carry around and look BAD ASS :)
