Screens for JK door windows?

Anyone seen screens for the JK/JKU doors. It'd be great to sleep inside with the windows down. Bugs suck. Literally.

There is a recent post about screened rear windows. Someone makes them at crewwindows.com. Seem decent for $200 if it is what you want

It should be something that would be easy to make, for the doors at least, with the non-metalic screening material and some magnetic strips. Just cut the screening to fit and glue the magnet strips to the screen.

@PecosRiver: That's a good idea. I might even go to getting an old set of rear section (velcro/zipper) windows and putting screen material in there as well. The site mentioned above (crewwindows) doesn't seem to have screen, but more of a webbing - holes that size would let pidgeons through!

Find some beat up or sliced windows for a soft top and take it to a alteration shop and ask them to cut out the plastic window and sew in the screen fabric. Some shops will do it with great results, others won't touch it - call around. Alternate is a boat shop.

For the doors, take a piece of screen about one inch bigger than the window, get some magnet tape and run it around the edge using the sticky tape side to hold it the the screen temporarily. Then take some blanket trim (can be found at fabric stores, it's a soft satin trim for baby blankets) and use fabric glue and glue the trim around the edge over the magnets. The trim opens up so it just needs to be cut to length and glued like a taco shell around the screen and magnet. If you want to be sure it stays put, have a alterations shop run a stitch around it as well.

anyone ever tried something like this? Looks perfect for keeping bugs out and letting air in. Just wondering if it'd actually fit a jeep door the way it fits the car door in the pic.

^ That's kinda neat too. I think that would work ok, I do question if you would scratch the paint, but any of these could do it. I don't know if you could drive like that with the window down though, the mesh fabric is probably going to suck into the Jeep some.

I just bought em. I'll update when I get em.
I only plan on using them when camping/sleeping in the jeep and want the windows down.
