Search Function Not working?

Hello,
There HAS to be TONS of threads on this already,
but I can't seem to find any. I'm trying to find threads
about oil change intervales. I called the dealership and
theyreccomend 3, 000 miles. That seems a little old
school, with today's advances in Oils and what not.

Where are the oil change interval threads?

Put in Oil Change Interval into the search function. It worked for me. There are many topics on what type of oil to use, what vecosity, and how often.

back of the user manual, 8000 miles or every 6 months or something:

http://www.autodealertools.com/quick...3/Wrangler.pdf

dealer's oil change guy tried to convince me it is every 3000 miles and that the info in the users manual is a 'misprint'...in all of the user manuals.

idiot no longer works there.

Just a little tip, when using the search function make sure your using the thread search and not the search option in the top bar where the "user cp, vendors, garage" etc are. The search from that bar searches pictures from the gallery from what I got.

At the top of the list of threads just off to the right theres another search button. I believe it says "search this forum" or "search this thread". That one will return a plethora of happiness for you to browse.

I do believe this confusion is why there is so many duplicate threads.

That's what they told me when I called and asked. I about asked them if I called back to 1983.

My manual says do not exceed 10, 000 miles. But I just broke 700 miles and Ive read people changing at 1, 000 miles on new ones. I miss Chevy's oil life count down %. I have a road trip comming up in October, 900 miles one way for my sister's wedding and she wants me to drive the Jeep up. Id hate to have the change oil message suddenly pop up without warning during the trip

My buddy works as the service manager for Jeep. I also have a new 2013 JKU. He told me not to worry. I don't have to change the oil at 1,000 miles. He said just to go the normal cycle and let the computer tell you when to change the oil. I figure I will go to about 5,000 before I change my oil.
