Yeah I'm not upset with the amount of time it takes.... Best covers that I have seen. I'm just a little upset that he isn't able to figure out when mine might be ready or even if they have started.

I contacted Mitch about two months ago. I wanted to order a custom black seat covers with hunting camo in the middle for my father's 2013 2 door that im shipping over in europe. He said that he has to order the hunting camo material from some other company because he didn't have it, and it would take 4-5 weeks to complete and ship to me!

After we spoke on the phone, he emailed me some different camo to choose from...... Four weeks later I emailed him to see whats the status but never got respond ! I waited one more week and I called him, just to find out that they even haven't start on my order, he said I was gonna call you but..... He didn't receive the camo that he ordered from that company. I guess he was busy with other orders and he didn't care, because he never followed after than.

I couldn't find any of the high end seat cover in stock ready to ship the next day, and I end up buying some SmittyBilt from Ebay, only because I had to ship the car.

I'm having a hell of a time deciding which covers to go with. I really want something that is going to be COMPLETELY water proof and help be dog hair and stain repellent. Once I put them on the plan is to leave them on forever. With completely water proof seats, I'm only pulling the carpet away from having a fairly water proof interior for those sudden mountain down pours that happen here.

Anybody bought the Clazzio Leather seat covers? Just wondering about the quality and ease of installation.

I would suggest cordura seat covers. They do not look as nice as the trek armor ones but they are functional and tough. I have poured a cup of water on them and it just rolls right off. I have yet to test them with standing water though. I would be willing to do that test on my wife's seat lol. As for the dog hair, while I do not have a dog, I do have a herd of cats so every dang thing I own is covered in cat hair. The cordura is so tightly woven that the animal hair doesn't get stuck. AEV makes them and Marathon seat covers makes them. I have had a set of both. I'm pretty sure AEV sources theirs from Marathon because they look identical down to every fastener. PM me if your interested in pics and i will snap a few for you.

I have a 2014 Wrangler arriving any day now with side airbags. When I emailed Trek Armour a couple weeks ago asking about seat covers for it they told me they are in the process of getting their side airbag seat covers approved by the government powers that be. He didn't give me a date they will be approved. Okole is the best seat cover I could find with approved side air bags, so I'll probably go with them. You can't take a chance on modifying the cover yourself. Too risky, unless you figure on cutting a great big hole in the side of your covers

A tight fit isn't necessary and they don't have to look fancy.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Check out Costco. I bought tight fitting sheepskin covers there for one of my other cars. Only $45 and its genuine sheepskin----also works for side airbags.

I don't think I'll be putting seat covers on my new (used 2009) Sahara, but I was wondering if anyone has had luck with any kind of sturdy, 'stay put', washable fabric to lay on the floor in the back? If I take the dogs with me, I will fold up the back seat, or take it out entirely...but I want to prevent some of the hair from ending up as a permanent part of the mat...

I've tried all kinds of blankets, fabrics, over the years in various vehicles and nothing is 'just right'.

Absolutely. Making seat covers airbag compatible is not particularly difficult to do yourself if you have a heavy duty machine and a little skill. What is difficult is for manufacturers to go through the process of approval. Everyone has to get their a**es sufficiently covered so they don't get sued. I modded my own (Trek Armors) and have more faith in them than I would "officially" approved covers because I have had my hands on them, testing different thread strengths and stitch patterns until I got it just right. Based on inspections of other airbag compatible seat covers I'm certain that the seam in mine is actually weaker than those that are manufactured yet it is holding up to daily use just fine and it looks very good.

Anybody have pics of Wet Okole Dark Brown seat covers? Seems like Mocha is more like tan and Dark Brown is more like a Mocha. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Wonder if he's just testing the stock seatcover product he's been making or if there is a "new" airbag model.

If I remember correctly, he said they're using a different string to sew the side of the covers with the airbags

Wet Okle

I've had the Wet Okle seats ordered through quadratec for about 9 months. (needed to cover the MW3 stitching as I have never played the game). Definite swamp butt in summer, as Tucson is wicked hot, but got the seat heaters for the woman, and she loves them. No fading, awesome fit (except getting the under seat strap around the tuffy under seat drawer, heater was a good choice, though all a bit pricey, but worth it, I think.

I ordered my coverking front and rear for a 13' on june 21. Its now aug 21 TWO MONTHS LATER and i still have not received my set from quadratec. Ive placed four calls last being with a manager. He said they are in and waiting to be processed. I recommend not buying this brand and not through quadratec. This is not a one off whale skin seat cover i ordered. Its a basic damn seat cover. For them ( a large distributor of jeep products ) to be this long is ridiculous.

I just purchased some camo print Real Tree AP from Wet Okole for my boyfriends Chevy. I know that they have a few different camo options. They look great, and wet okole always makes a great product. They will also send color swatches for free.

OK, I am so confused about the best seats for my Jeep. I like to ski and kayak (not at the same time). I have kids and dogs. I need a seat cover that will be pet roof and stain proof on the front and durable when the seats go down and the gear goes in. I have side air bags so the seat covers need to be compatible. Will the neoprene seats be tough enough? Any thoughts which are more durable, Wet Okoles or Trek Armors? Any other options I should consider?

+? for Okole

I got Okole's in Black with Red logo's, and threw down for the lumbar supports, map pockets and the heater (for her side)

Fabric: water-averse. Not entirely "proof" (swamp-butt in extreme heat), but the cleaner/protectant they sent along really do clean anything off (spilled coffee, dog hair/slobber, food have all been done).
The fit is really good - although they do take a bit of wrestling with to get them on just right
So far, I've had mine for over 2 years and they still look/feel NIB. I got a set for the other vehicle last year and they seem to wear about the same so far.
Cost: My ohana on my step-father's side is from the big island and we have lots of cousins spread all over the place there, so I got front/back for each vehicle for $350, but I think if you order through them they have specials that will generally run about $500 for front/back.
They have lots of colors and choices to choose from.
Cons: Don't know of any yet.
Recommend: Yes!

I have two of these (for two different vehicles) and they're outstanding for the price. Made specifically for pets. This vendor also has a more "premium" version with metal hooks, etc., but these with the plastic clips has been just fine over the years for me.

You do know that Coverking did a re design for the '13 to correct some fitment issues, right? That's why Qtec didn't have them in stock.

So far, we're liking them. The spills cleaned up easy enough, and the lumbar support really helps on longer drives - it's really just a bladder in the seat that you inflate/deflate with a bulb, but it really does work and doesn't seem to deflate while you're driving. The 2 Newfies get all over the back seat/cargo area, so they get cleaned up regularly. So far, not even Newfie fur sticks to them (owners of Newfies view Newfie fur as a condiment since it gets into everything).

Quadratec is terrible I also ordered coverking front and rear seat covers. After many calls and emails, 4 months later still no seat covers. I was told each time my order was next to be processed. I canceled the order. Never order seat covers from Quadretec!!!!

My Quadratec rep told me up front that it was BO... but after 2 months... I decided to checked with Cover King.

They had mine in stock and provided me with their product number and suggested that Quadratec could simply order it for me, or I could pay a bit more and get them from their online shop.

But since I'm going for the charcoal insert I'll just change my order for the Smitty's since they are well rated by ppl in here and its the same price.
