Second Gear

Hey Everyone,

I'm new to Jeeps, but I've had manual transmissions my entire life. Is it normal for second gear to feel "clunky"? When my '11 Sport is cold, second gear seems to be abnormally loud. It doesn't grind, it just takes a little more pull to switch from first to second. You really have to force it into gear. It feels like there is some internal rubbing of some sort.

My friend seems to have a similar problem in his 2011 Sahara. I just wanted to get a consensus.

Thanks.

x2. Same problem for me. Also Recently my trans won't shift into 1st after sitting at a red light. What's that about?

my 2012 jku runicon does it too. when cold or when shifting above 3000 rpm even when warm.

i've driven stick for 12 years so i'd like to think i'm pretty proficient with it
